Black Oolong
黑烏龍
Oolong Tea - Medium Oxidation - Extremely Dark Roast
Smooth, Dry rose, Caramel like smoky aroma
Black Oolong is roasted with higher than normal temperature of other oolong tea. It requires highly skilled masters, who are hard to find, to control the temperature to reach the optimal tea aroma and taste because tea roasted with too low or too high the temperature will produce burnt smell and taste. The resulting tea soup is a beautiful reddish brown and contains minimal caffeine. This batch is made with Iron Goddess (鐵觀音), whose sweet and rich aftertaste can still be found, and it was roasted in Taipei Taiwan.
Black Oolong is a great option for people with sensitive reaction to caffeine but still want to enjoy a cup of rich tea.
